We are looking to appoint within our Biosciences Institute, Faculty of Medical Sciences and would welcome applications from individuals looking for either Professor, Reader or Senior Lecturer opportunities in Cardiovascular Biology/Science. 

You will be a leader in Cardiovascular Science applied to studying the molecular, cellular mechanisms and physiology underpinning cardiovascular disease. 

You will lead a team with the ambition and expertise needed to elucidate disease mechanisms at the molecular and cellular levels. You will have a strong vision of how to develop and lead a research programme in the Biosciences Institute, with a clear path to secure external funding to support your exciting research program. Your research should allow for research-led teaching through contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and you be willing to provide attractive lab-based projects for students.

You will be based at Newcastle University Biosciences Institute (NUBI), within the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMS).  Newcastle University has a long-standing interest in cardiovascular science and medicine, with ongoing investments in imaging, electrophysiology and state-of-the-art animal housing facilities.
